Our story
La Bella Donna Spa has been a med spa in Hickory, NC since June 2006. Some clients still call us La Bella Donna Med Spa or Bella Donna Lasers, after our original web address. We pride ourselves on confidential, individualized skin care, and on results so natural that people notice you, not your treatment.
Our philosophy
While others in the industry chase dramatic changes, Tracey takes a conservative approach. She does not believe in one-size-fits-all plans or high-pressure sales. Every client gets a treatment plan built around their skin, their budget and the look they want.
Founder
Tracey Bare, RN
Tracey has been a registered nurse for 34 years, with experience in neurosurgery, case management and travel nursing. In 2004, as a mother of young children, she needed more flexibility than hospital nursing offered and began working for a physician who provided laser skin services.
For more than a year she learned how lasers could correct a wide range of skin conditions. In 2006, with that foundation and a passion for helping people feel better about their skin, she opened La Bella Donna.
Today she performs injectables, laser treatments and eyebrow tattooing, and offers menopause wellness consultations that look at how hormonal changes affect your skin, body and overall well-being.

Owner and Injector
A registered nurse for 34 years with a background in neurosurgery, case management and travel nursing. Tracey learned medical lasers under a physician starting in 2004 and opened La Bella Donna in 2006. She performs injectables, laser treatments, eyebrow tattooing and menopause wellness consultations.

Medical Director
Provides physician oversight for every medical treatment offered at La Bella Donna.

For our 20th anniversary in May 2026, Hickory Living put Tracey on the cover and told the story of how a nurse with a passion for lasers built one of Hickory's longest-running med spas.
